REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN FOR THE 2017 SEASON !!!! DON'T MISS OUT!!!!!

Please click on the registration tab and register today for the upcoming Recreation Softball League.

The W.G.S.A recreation league is structured to provide a safe and friendly sporting environment .  This program is a great way for your child to be a part of a team atmosphere and develop new and long lasting friendships.  It is an introduction to the sport of softball and offers a relaxed environment.  We offer divisions from  Grades K-12.  Below are brief descriptions of each division:

Pigtail Division (U8) - The first introduction to softball and is formatted as a coach pitch division.  This division is designed to introduce the fundamentals of softball in a developmental environment.

Minor Division (U10) - Introduces the girls to a friendly but competitive environment.  This division introduces pitching to the girls.  The pitching is an underhand slow pitch.  This is the first introduction to end of season tournament play and will have an all star game.

Westshore Major Division (U13)  - Introduces recreational travel to the mix.  This is a fast pitch softball league.  This offers the recreation feel but brings a little community allegiance and friendly competition to the mix.  This league does not have the intense requirements of travel softball and is very relaxed and fun for the girls.  We play against other local communities in  league play.    This division will have some travel to local surrounding communities.

Westshore Senior  Division (U18)  - A fun recreational travel softball league for our high school girls.  This league offers the relaxed recreation feel but brings a little community allgiance and friendly competition to the mix.  This league does not have the intense requirements of travel softball.  We play against other local communities in league play.  This division also will have some travel to local surrounding communities.

President's Message

Welcome to our new and improved Westlake Girls Softball Association Website.  We are looking forward to our upcoming 2017 season for girls from Kindergarten through 12th grade!

The WGSA will again be teaming up with Westlake Head Varsity Softball Coach Tom Shiban to build a comprehensive softball development program to unify all of our players in the Westlake Softball family.  This program will include softball skills development clinics run by Coach Shiban and his varsity team and a weekly pitching program.

In addition to our recreational program, WGSA will also have travel teams competing in the U10, U12, and U14 Emerald Necklace leagues.  This will provide a fantastic opportunity for some of our players to further develop their skills and play at an advanced level of competition.

Please continue to visit our website as we'll have continuous updates.

See you on the fields this spring!
