MISSION STATEMENT
The Westlake Girls Softball Association is a community organization with a mission to engage our youth through healthy athletic competition. We will provide opportunities for different ages and skill levels with a focus on opportunities to learn and appreciate the game of softball. We will provide quality instruction in the fundamental aspects of the games such as skill development, rules, and strategies. We are a community that strives to work together so each player has an enjoyable and rewarding experience learning softball. We will promote the understanding of teamwork, success, failure, dedication, pride, sportsmanship, and fun. Understanding that each level (Pigtail, Minor, Major, and Travel) has different competitive and strategic differences, we will strive to develop and continuously support growth, not only as athletes but as people working together for a common goal.
Travel tryouts for the 2025 Season will be held on July 28, 2024 and July 29, 2024. On both dates, the tryouts will be held at Clague Memorial Fields at Clague Playhouse.
10u will be at 4:00 - 5:30 PM
12u and 14u will be at 6:00 - 7:30 PM

Welcome back to our new and improved Westlake Girls Softball Association Website. We are looking forward to our upcoming 2024 season for girls from Kindergarten through 12th grade!
The WGSA will again be teaming up with Westlake Head Varsity Softball Coach Traci Edmunds to build a comprehensive softball development program to unify all of our players in the Westlake Softball family. This program will include softball skills development clinics run by Coach Edmunds and her varsity team and a weekly pitching program. Additionally, we offer skills sessions through Rocky River Force for our travel programs. We also offer pitching instruction for our recreation programs as well.
Details to come.
In addition to our recreational program, WGSA will also have travel teams competing in the U10, U12, and U14 Emerald Necklace leagues. This will provide a fantastic opportunity for some of our players to further develop their skills and play at an advanced level of competition.
It has been a pleasure working with such a talented team of Board Members. I’ve truly enjoyed my experience this year serving as President. We will continue to work to take this program to the next level for our Westlake softball community.
We are looking forward to another exciting season!
Please continue to visit our website as we’ll have continuous updates.
See you on the fields this Spring!
